Professional Teeth Whitening
If you’re unhappy with the shade of your teeth, you may have tried over-the-counter teeth whitening treatments but were disappointed with the results—or maybe you simply haven’t taken steps to brighten your smile.
At Anderson Family Dental, we offer professional teeth whitening that is far superior to over-the-counter products. With professional teeth whitening, you can count on prescription-strength whiteners. And because you’re taking this step under the direction of our trained Winter Park dentists, you can also count on treatment that is safe for your oral health.
Teeth Whitening Options
We offer two affordable options for teeth whitening, in-office whitening and take-home kits—both designed with your needs in mind. Our dentists can help you determine which option best meets your needs, including combination therapy for specific results.
When we whiten your smile, we consider long-term results, tooth sensitivity, and a system or prescription-grade whitening product that works for you.
In-Office Teeth Whitening
KöR WHITENING MEANS SAME DAY RESULTS
At Anderson Family Dental, we are proud to offer KöR Whitening. KöR Whitening is recognized as the world’s most effective whitening system.
In-office teeth whitening solution provides quick and dramatic results in just a few hours. Most patients report that they experience minimal to no tooth sensitivity during or after their tooth whitening session.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our dentist applies a special protective covering to the gums followed by a professional grade whitening gel to the teeth. This process is repeated multiple times until the desired results are achieved. With good oral hygiene care, and routine visits to our Winter Park office, you can enjoy your whiter smile long term.
At-Home Whitening Trays
THE CONVENIENCE OF WHITENING WHEN YOU WANT
Another option for teeth whitening is professional, take-home whitening trays. We are proud to offer both Opalescence and KöR Whitening gels in our office.
In this process, the dentist makes a mold of your teeth in order to produce trays to fit your teeth perfectly. This increases the contact between the bleaching product and your teeth and also makes contact between your gum tissue and the bleaching product minimal, avoiding unnecessary irritation to your gums.
WE HELP YOU GET THE BEST RESULTS
Dr. Bryant or Kathleen Anderson will provide instructions on how to apply the trays at home. It is important to follow the instructions the dentist provides to prevent damage to your gums or soft tissue and to get the best results. The dentist will check on your gum health at regularly scheduled appointments during your treatment and ensure your trays are fitting you properly.
White Spot Lesion Treatment
Although you may take excellent care of your teeth, white spots may still develop. These are demineralized spots of enamel that have a milky white appearance, known as white spot lesions. They can develop due to many different reasons but patients undergoing orthodontic treatment are at a higher risk. In some cases these spots may simply be present on your permanent teeth as they develop.
At Anderson Family Dental, we use ICON treatment therapy to provide our patients with a minimally invasive option to remove the white spot lesions. ICON allows us to quickly and painlessly blend white spots with your natural tooth-color and to restore your smile.
ICON TREATMENT PROCESS
ICON treatment is a simple and painless process. Your dentist will apply a rubber shield to cover gums and other areas of the mouth. Then, he will rinse and clean your teeth.
First, the dentist will apply ICON-Etch on teeth surfaces and spread it equally. After two minutes, they will remove the gel with water and air dry.
Next they will apply ICON Dry on teeth surfaces. The alcohol solution is applied with a syringe and kept in place for 30 seconds.
The third step is applying ICON-Infiltrant on the affected teeth for three minutes.
The dentist will finish up by flossing your teeth to ensure the solution does not stick between the teeth. Then, a special LED light is focused on the teeth for roughly 40 seconds.
Maintaining Your Results
Professional teeth whitening is an affordable treatment that can dramatically improve the appearance of your smile.
For lasting results, we offer the following tips:
Brush After Every Meal
Reduce or eliminate tooth-staining foods or brush after indulging—wine, bright sauces, tea, and coffee
Quit Smoking
Because we can provide a custom whitening tray and prescription-strength gel, it is easy to touch up your smile periodically.
