Invisalign in Winter Park, A Clear Alternative to Metal Braces

Perfectly aligned teeth can be achieved without metal braces. Invisalign treatment moves your teeth into proper alignment without the use of wires or brackets. Clear aligners are nearly invisable when being warn.  You can remove them for easy cleaning, and you can eat whatever you want!

How Invisalign Works

Your Invisalign treatment will be completed using a series of custom-made clear aligners, each worn for approximately two weeks. Invisalign aligners are made of smooth, comfortable plastic that gradually shift your teeth into the proper position over time. Most people won’t notice that you’re wearing them and best of all, you can remove them to eat and brush your teeth.  Each case is individually fitted with the use of detailed impressions and digital technology.  The treatment is then designed based on the amount of movement that each tooth needs.  Teeth then progressively move into proper position.

How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Take?

Every orthodontic treatment is customized to the individual needs of the patient.  The length of treatment is based on the amount of movement that the teeth need.  For example, if braces have been done before and the teeth have relapsed back a little it may only take a few months to re-straighten the teeth.  For someone that has never had braces and needs extensive movements the treatment length can be around 2 years or sometimes more.

Whenever a treatment length is given, think of it as a estimate.  It is our best guess on the time it will take for the teeth to move.  Sometimes the teeth do no move as fast as we hope and treatment times can increase.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

The cost of invisalign treatment is correlated with the number of trays and visits it will take to achieve the desired outcome.  If minimal movements are needed the treatment time will be less and require fewer aligner trays.  This will cost less than if extensive movements are needed and treatment is going to last for a couple of years.  On average a shorter treatment will cost between $1500- $3000 and a longer treatment can cost $5000 or more.
